The enhanced Piano Room now includes the world-class Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial grand pianos, plus vintage electric pianos. In Session Mode, you can invite three virtual musicians into the room to "jam" with you as you practice and perform in one of 40 different musical styles. These session musicians will automatically follow your harmonies and your volume expression using the new Dynamics Control feature. You can selectively activate and deactivate each one depending on your musical needs at the time. Within this special room, you can even record your sessions with the touch of a single button.

The CVP-701 features hundreds of high-quality instrument Voices including "Natural!", "Sweet!" and "Cool!" Voices sampled specially to compliment the instrument types. Get connected and start singing.
You can connect a microphone to enjoy singing along with your keyboard performance or using Karaoke song files from YamahaMusicSoft.com. All input jacks are conveniently located at the front of the instrument, under the keybed for easy access. Alternatively, you can connect a portable music device such as an MP3 player or smart phone to enjoy listening through the Clavinova's high-definition speaker system.

Two world class pianos are contained within the CVP Clavinova. The CFX, Yamaha's finest concert grand, selected and played by the winner of the 2010 International Chopin Piano Competition, and the Imperial from Bösendorfer, one of the oldest piano manufacturers in the world and a brand held in high esteem by pianists throughout its long history. These renowned pianos are characterized by distinctive traits such as power, versatility, subtlety, lightness and mellowness.

True piano tone deserves true piano touch.
By using a similar hammer mechanism (with no springs) as is found in a grand piano, the GH3X keyboard action reproduces the touch of an acoustic instrument, from the heavier feel in the lower register to the lighter touch in the upper octaves. It also features a three-sensor configuration which accurately senses and interprets the behavior of the keyboard to create a response and feel very much like that of a grand piano.
The newly developed GH3X keyboard features an escapement mechanism that reproduces the feel of an acoustic piano as it goes through the let-off of the jack and the fall of the hammer when a key is played very softly.
Synthetic ivory keytops reproduce the tactile surface of the ivory keyboards once used in acoustic pianos. It features highly absorbent material that prevents fingers from slipping even after hours of performing, while retaining the ideal texture and feel.
For a sound that truly resonates with the listener.
In a grand piano, strings and sounds resonate throughout the entire body of the instrument producing a rich reverberation that envelops the listener in sound. Not only are the strings you are playing vibrating, but other strings ring as a reaction to ones you play. This is one reason the piano's sound is so complex and rich.
This phenomena is reproduced perfectly in the Clavinova through Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) which calculates the various states of the strings for each of the 88 notes on the keyboard from one instant to the next. As a result, the Clavinova reflects the limitless number of factors inherent in playing an acoustic piano such as which keys are pressed, the strength with which the keys are played and pedal timing.
A new kind of headphone experience.
Unique to Yamaha, the Stereophonic Optimizer adjusts the spacing of the sound and the separation from the piano when listening via the headphones, resulting in a spacious sound image that will inspire you to play for hours at a time. Using this private listening environment, the sound of the Clavinova appears to come from the body of the instrument rather than from the headphones, providing a more realistic and naturally comfortable experience.
The Clavinova is ready for your Session.
The Piano Room features the world-class Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos and has been expanded to include additional keyboard instruments including vintage electric pianos. In Session Mode, you can invite three additional session musicians into the room to accompany you as you practice and perform in 40 different musical styles. Examples include "fret noise" or "body knocks" from a guitar or the "inhales", "exhales" and glissandos from wind instruments. By simply varying your touch and playing techniques or using the pedals, SA Voices will add significant authenticity to your sound.

Music Finder is great when you are looking for just the right Style or Voice combinations so YOU can perform a particular song. Simply choose the name of the song you want to play from the Music Finder list and the CVP will call up the proper settings so you can get playing right away. These settings were created by professional musicians from around the world specializing in particular genres of music.
Can't remember the name of a song? No problem. Just play!
The Style Recommender is an intelligent function that allows you to find a Style that suits the type of music you feel like playing. You don't even need to know the name of the song; the rythmic feel alone will do. Just play a bar or two of a simple rhythm or piano tune and a list of Styles that match your playing will instantly be displayed.
An automatic page turner with Guide Lamps to light the way.
Follow along with the bouncing ball shown on the score as you play to be sure of never losing your place. Pages turn automatically or you can flip through pages by swiping the screen horizontally. If reading music isn't your forté, you can follow the guide lamps above the keyboard that will show you the correct keys. With guide activated, CVP will wait until you play the correct note so you can practice at your own pace.
Sing in perfect Harmony… with yourself!
You can enjoy karaoke backing with songs stored in your Clavinova or downloaded from YamahaMusicsoft.com. The lyrics are shown on the display* and the words change color as the song advances, so you know exactly when to come in. You can even display the lyrics on a big TV screen so everyone can join in!

Turn a USB device into an portable recording studio.
The USB Audio Recorder* allows you to record your performances on a USB flash drive for emailing, uploading to the internet or sending to your MP3 player. This lets you compare two different performances to gauge your progress or allows you to share your music with friends and family.

When playing in a home environment, people often enjoy the Clavinova at much less than full volume. However, the physics of sound at low volumes results in a loss of treble and bass. On a Clavinova, however, the Intelligent Acoustic Control (IAC) automatically adjusts the sound so you enjoy proper excellent bass and treble sound balance even at low volumes. Additionally, the volume dial automatically makes fine adjustments to the overall sound of the speaker system (EQ) at low volume. This ability to adjust volume without losing the rich and balanced sound is an exclusive Yamaha benefit, ensuring you always play with the utmost sound quality.
Wireless audio and wireless MIDI with iOS devices.
If you use an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, Yamaha apps will make playing more convenient and enjoyable. Quickly set the ideal Voice and accompaniment Style for the song you'd like to play. Record your own performance and share it with a friend. Add to visual effects to your performance with computer animation that repsonds to what you play. Check out the apps and find the ones that meet your needs. Several Yamaha apps are designed to work only with Clavinova digital pianos.

Bring the song file into the CVP where guide lamps can show you how to play those chords, and also teach your virtual backing band to play along with you using Styles. Logans Pianos offers Australia wide shipping on all products on our website and our Burwood store. The vast majority of our orders are eligible for free, or $8.95 flat rate shipping. For more details, see below.
We will always do our best to make your order as fast and easy as possible. In most cases, we will process and ship your order next business day.
For a variety of reasons, sometimes this is not possible. In these cases, we will always notify you by email or phone of the expected lead time the following business day.

Delivery Options
Logans are pleased to offer a variety of delivery options to our customers so you can choose the shipping method that best suits your needs.
In most cases, you will receive your order in 2-5 business days from the time of your order, but we ask that you allow up to 14 days for delivery, to account for unexpected delays.
Free & Flat Rate Shipping
Most orders over $199 qualify for free shipping.
orders under $199 are eligible for $8.95 flat rate shipping To NSW, VIC and ACT, or $15 flat rate shipping to all other Australian states.
Small products such as books, strings and small accessories may be sent with Australia post, and may not include a tracking number. If tracking is important to you, please choose courier shipping to ensure you will be able to track your order.
We have send tens of thousands of books and accessories in this manner, and very rarely have issues. If your product arrives damaged, or has not arrived within 14 days, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will replace it free of charge.
Acoustic Pianos, Digital Pianos with a shipping weight of over 80kg, and other products that require specialist delivery services or installation are not eligible for free or flat rate shipping.
Orders to Western Australia do not qualify for free shipping.
In Store Pickup
Most products can be picked up from our Burwood store. If you choose this option at checkout, please wait for us to confirm your products are ready for pickup before pick it up.
We are able to arrange curbside pickup/click and collect on customer request.

In most cases, the fastest, cheapest and best options to your location will appear at checkout, allowing you to choose the courier and rate that best suits your needs. Generally, we recommend you use flat rate shipping in these cases, but if this is not appropriate, or available for you, please contact us, and we will discuss your options with you.
Digital Pianos Delivery & Setup
Digital Piano delivery and setup is available in the Sydney Metro area for the cost of $150. Surcharge will apply for stairs, or other difficult delivery.
Additional surcharges apply to deliveries outside of the Sydney Metro area, and will need to be scheduled in advance. Please contact us for an obligation free quote.
As you will have to be home to show the carriers where to set up your piano, we will call to schedule your delivery at a time that is convenient for you.
Acoustic Pianos Delivery
Logans only work with the best speciality piano carriers in the business - Dragon, Goninans & Perfect Moves. This ensures that your piano will arrive not only undamaged, but in tune & well regulated as well. As you will have to be home to show the carriers where to place your piano, we will call to schedule your delivery at a time that is convenient for you.
- Delivery to Sydney metro area is free to ground level, +$60 for each flight of stairs.
- Charges apply to deliveries outside of the Sydney Metro area, and will need to be scheduled in advance. Please contact us for an obligation free quote, or select "Post-paid Piano Shipping" at checkout, and we will call you the following business day to discuss your shipping options. Delivery of pianos outside of Sydney Metro is subject to the scheduling of our long distance shipping partner, Perfect Moves. Out of stock or new release products will generally be available for pre-order. If you pre-order a product online, we will contact you using the details provided your order to give you an ETA the next business day. For most products, this will add less than a week to the delivery time for your order.
In the case of new release products, or some specialty items, lead times can be up to six months. If you would like to know the ETA of a product before pre-ordering, please contact us by email, phone, or using the chat widget and we will give you an ETA.
