Timeline

1908 – Charles Logan Senior immigrated to Australia from Scotland with his family

1920 – Charles Logan Senior opened C LOGAN & SONS music store in Bexley, Sydney selling pianos, pianolas and gramophones

1925 – By 1925, five Logans stores were operating across Sydney, with branches in Bexley, Hurstville, Bankstown and two in Burwood

1935 – All stores were consolidated to the current Burwood store

1946 – After Work War II, Charles Logan Senior retired and sold the business to his son Charles Logan II, and his wife Joan

1968 – Logans begin selling Yamaha Pianos

1978 – Joan & Charles Logan II’s son Geoff takes on a full time role in the family business

1996- After many years working part time, Geoff’s wife Bronwyn takes a fulltime role in the business

1995 – Logans substantially expand the range of musical instruments and sheet music available

2002 – Geoff & Bronwyn Logan’s son Chris begins working full time in the store.

2008- Extensive renovations were carried out to the building. A new showroom, workshop and warehouse were added to incorporate a growing business

2018- Logans Celebrate 50 years of selling Yamaha Pianos

2020 - Logans will celebrate 100 years in the music industry.
