Slash has been one of the world's leading guitarists for over 20 years. He first came to the world's attention as lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses. With 28 million copies sold, Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction is the best selling debut album of all time worldwide. This album contained the classic Gunners tracks "Welcome to the Jungle", "Paradise City" and "Sweet Child o' Mine"- the band's first #1 hit. All of these hits are spearheaded by Slash's riffs and solos. "November Rain" and "You Could be Mine" (from the movie Terminator 2) increased Slash's popularity and established him as one of the world's best.

Since leaving Guns N' Roses, Slash has stayed in the spotlight. He worked on two tracks on Michael Jackson's album Dangerous ("Black or White" and "Give in To Me"), Quentin Tarantino's film Jackie Brown, and established a new band- Velvet Revolver.

Gibson USA's Slash Signature Les Paul Standard is a tribute to Slash and the guitar he's used for more than 20 years to create some of the most powerful and popular hard rock of all time. Working closely with Slash, Gibson recreated his favourite Les Paul Standard.

The magic of this guitar is in the details. An Antique Vintage Sunburst finish is applied to a solid mahogany body with an AA maple figured top and dark back. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro humbuckers- the same as Slash uses in all his Les Pauls. The Slash designed solid mahogany neck is given a thin, comfortable profile to Slash's own specifications, and Slash's skull and crossbones top hat logo adorns the headstock. A custom made smooth black case featuring Slash's logo comes with every guitar.
