Yamaha CLP330 and CLP340 Clavinovas

In recent years Yamaha have released several portable and low end digital pianos series that have changed the face of the piano industry. The price of these instruments start from under $1000, and represent great alternatives for the beginner pianist, or the player who needs to carry an instrument around regularly.

It's when moving into the 2- 3 thousand dollar price range that we find two outstanding instruments, the Yamaha CLP330 and CLP340 Clavinovas.

These exciting digitals offer a quality of touch and sound that I have not seen bettered, either by Yamaha or other brands at any price. Both have the Yamaha CFIIIS 9 foot concert grand sound as their Piano 1 voice, along with Strings, Voice, Harpsichord, Vibes, Organ, Guitar, Electric Piano and several other authentic and mixable sounds.

Without going into all of their specific differences, the CLP340 offers more sounds, larger amplification, and several small features over and above the CLP330, however the experience of playing both is amazing.

Both Digital Pianos are available in several colours with the polished ebony a standout, but more expensive.
