CLP SERIES CLAVINOVA

Over 20 years ago Yamaha produced the first Clavinova. At that stage they were a spinoff from their incredibly popular Electone/ organ range, and the sounds were produced by modifying electronic waves. Very shortly after they produced a Clavinova with a real piano sound. A sound that had been digitally recorded from the real thing. Digital recording processes have improved, and along with improved actions, Yamaha now produce a Clavinova that is the preferred instrument of beginner piano instruction worldwide.

The new CLP400 series features Digital recording taken directly from Yamaha's flag ship piano, the 9' CFIIIS concert grand. You can have the sound of this $300,000 piano in your lounge room for less than $3,000. They have many other benefits for the student and professional alike, but most agree they're fun, exciting and motivating.

Yamaha's new Clavinova range is now introduced with the CLP430. It is fair to say that this instrument will suit all from students to professionals. The CLP430 is equipped with digital samples from four different grand pianos with five different tone selections for each. When selecting any two piano voices together and changing tone, up to 50 different piano sounds can be reproduced. And that is only where the fun begins!
The ideal location of the sound selectors allows easy changing or mixing of sounds while playing, providing a new dimension to your performance that will have the player feeling like a kid in a candy store.
Many improvements have been made from the previous CLP300 series to both cosmetics and electrics. If you haven't seen or heard a digital piano recently, drop in and let Peter show you this exciting new piano.

The Yamaha CLP440 Clavinova looks and feels very similar to the CLP430, but on closer inspection there are differences in amplification (2 x 40W), feel (synthetic ivory keytops), versatility (split keyboard), cosmetics (large music rest with music holders), electronics (4 level Dynamic Stereo Sampling) and a variation to all sounds (effectively doubling the amount of onboard sounds). There is not a huge difference in price between the CLP430 and CLP440, and we believe the CLP440 is exceptional value.
